# What You’ll Need:

→ Vanilla Wafers

01 - 1 cup all-purpose flour
02 - 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
03 - 1/4 teaspoon salt
04 - 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
05 - 1/2 cup granulated sugar
06 - 1 large egg
07 - 1 tablespoon milk
08 - 1 tablespoon pure vanilla extract

→ Dipping Chocolate

09 - 6 oz semi-sweet chocolate, chopped or chocolate chips
10 - 1 teaspoon coconut oil or vegetable shortening (optional)

# How To Make It:

01 - Preheat the oven to 350°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
02 - Whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt in a small bowl. Set aside.
03 - Using an electric mixer or whisk, cream the softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
04 - Beat in the egg, milk, and vanilla extract until fully combined.
05 - Gradually add the dry ingredient mixture to the wet ingredients, mixing just until combined.
06 - Drop small mounds of dough using a teaspoon or small cookie scoop onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing approximately 2 inches apart.
07 - Bake cookies for 12 to 15 minutes until edges turn lightly golden. Let cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
08 - Combine chopped chocolate and coconut oil (if using) in a microwave-safe bowl. Microwave in 20-second intervals, stirring after each, until smooth and melted.
09 - Dip half of each cooled vanilla wafer into the melted chocolate. Allow excess chocolate to drip off before placing cookies on parchment paper to set. Refrigerate for 10 minutes to harden the chocolate if desired.
